Since opening in 2014, JB's Bar & Grill has grown into one of the most talked-about spots in the Finger Lakes region. We're tucked in the heart of wine country, just 10 minutes north of Keuka Lake and 5 minutes from Steuben Brewing Company.
We take our beef seriously. Every steak comes from Iowa Premium 100% Black Angus cattle, aged to perfection and cut in-house by our team. From hand-stuffed burgers to handmade pastas, fresh salads and so much more, there's something on our menu for everyone at the table.
Don't miss our weekend specials, or our two crowd favorites that keep people coming back: the legendary Mac & Cheese and slow-roasted Prime Rib.
"Fast service, great food, good price, will be back!"
"Beautiful bar & great food. Nice country setting. Owner, Jim came over & introduced himself & thanked us for coming in. Will definitely be going back!!"
"Excellent food & service! Love this place."
"One of the best prime rib dinners on the east coast. I am from FL and visit this area in summer & have been going their since the grand opening."
When you walk into JB's, you might be surprised to learn what this building used to be: a working excavation shop.
Barry and Jim Cermak ran Cermak Excavating together for years, a true father-and-son operation. The idea to transform their shop into a restaurant came partly from a dream and partly from necessity. When the Pinegrove Inn down the road was lost to a fire, the community lost one of its only local gathering spots. Barry and Jim weren't going to let that stand. They wanted a place where friends and family could eat, drink, and feel at home year-round.
In April 2014, JB's Bar & Grill opened its doors, and it hasn't looked back since. Word spread fast. Today people travel from all over the region to find their way here.
Most days you'd find Barry at the bar keeping an eye on things, usually with a Michelob Ultra draft or two in hand. Jim could be found doing just about everything else, bartending, cooking, serving, hosting. Whatever the place needed, he did it.
Barry passed away on May 19, 2022, at home surrounded by the people who loved him. His spirit is woven into every corner of this place, and we carry him with us every day we open those doors.
